The World As Your King

The world as your king

It rules with an iron fist, setting the tempo of the game

Can I keep pace with its pace— am I in step?

It churns and consumes and leaves the unsure behind

Do more, say more, show more- how are you relevant?

Your story must make sense so that cadence flows and talk is smooth

And posts, and updates can be shared...

Smiles and photos of life at its best...

Clarity, focus, purpose are words that inspire and are “liked”

Days are full with action and goals and travel

“Look at me!” “Look at me now!”

Or else what in the world are you doing--With your time, with your life?

Not my king you say? Not my way at all!

But what if stopping and thinking and reflecting were the choice

What if being in a quiet room by yourself was the only choice?

How then might you tell that story?

Can that story be shared?

Does it even matter if you do?

Could you sit still?

Ask yourself this question

If your king is the world, Is he fair and just?

When its reign is done over you, will it be seen as “good”?
